Why didn't you whisper to me
a sweeter goodbye,
you, cruel hangman
of my fragile heart?
Because it is a goodbye,
and I know,
don't try to deny it
with false promises,
because you are talking
of a goodbye,
and you cover with gold and pearls
the vain smell
of your lies.
I'd kill you
without speaking,
I'd hate you
without shivering,
I'd throw away
this sad goodbye,
because it is a goodbye,
faraway from my eyes
full of flame
and crystal tears.
Why didn't you whisper to me
a sweeter goodbye?
The pain of not seeing you anymore
is filling my whole body,
and I can only
surrender,
resigned.
