I erase my words with blood
My mind dulled to the pain
Broken and weary
I fall; stain the snow
The stain is me
Kicking at the snow
I can't even get on my own two feet
Bruised, freezing, trying to cry,
But the tears... just won't come
I bite open my scars
Seeking some sort of relief
I look into a pool, cruel in its clarity
Those eyes they can't be mine!
Their hollow and dead where did my life flee to?

| Joel, I love your poetry, I really do. You are an amazing poet and you really have a way with words. This was so sad, but yet such a familiar feeling. Keep writing cos this was just amazing. |
