I saw you on your school bus yesterday
as I was walking past
you've already grown so tall
you were smiling and waving and yelling my name
I miss when i could expect that every single day
I knocked on your window
on my way to the car
and you jumped right out of your seat
I blew you a kiss
you giggled and laughed
not hiding the red in your cheeks
I told you I loved you
and you sighed with embarrassment
because you're already to big for that
5 years old, and you're reading too
I choke back tears as i wave goodbye
I can't wait until tomorrow
so I can say 'hello' another time
