Why, Tell me why
Our moms have to cry,
they watch another child shot down
in the ghettos, downtown
Now his dreams will never fly
Why, Tell me why
Soldiers got to die
How many wars can we fight
Wait till the depression takes flight
another soldier dead
Took two to the head
theres no need to lose another guy
Why, Tell me why
Heaven is so high
I just pray to see it some day
considering love is the only price to pay
but many wont make it
well they had a choice, just didnt take it
there left with nothing but a sigh
Why, Tell me Why
