Lingering Still

I still feel him.
The gentleness of his kiss,
the velvet touch of his
tongue fighting against my own.
His warmn breath
upon my neck,
which makes my skin crawl.

I miss the warmth
of his body
next to mine
the haunting outlines
of his fingertips
upon my flesh.
The heavenly weight
of his head
resting against my breast.
The heat of his legs
intertwined with mine.

Dawn breaks

and I am left

cold and alone.
