Two scuffed black, endless and infinite eyes Peer from across the room From his frail, fantastic figure. Patches Of fur missing: a cigarette burn here, A tantrum there. He is alone, unique, A bear.
My bear.
Stuffed with laughter and tears, Hopes and fears that only a young boy Can know. Hugs one day, anger the next And yet you are still here, steadfast In loyalty and love, two bead eyes Staring through me.
Your nose is becoming unraveled And your arm has nearly fallen off. And what do I have to offer But a throne upon my bed And a passing glance from time to time. I could learn something from you, bear.
My bear.

we all have our 'bear' well mines a pink rabbit in a green dress.... i never thought about looking at my stuffed toy that way but we all share our every emotion with them when we're children but we loose our imagination for that sort of thing when we get older... this is so well wrote that it made me visualise every word... well done |
