My own voice resonates
Through my inner core
Revealing to me secret truths
Of memories past
Failures, long since gone
Now surface to reveal rusted pain
Buried to cover imperfection
Where insecurity meets self-esteem
I tremor at menacing thoughts
Coerced to rehash relevance
Unable to bridge this gap
Between past & present
I revel in the future
As unforseen destiny awaits me
I release this pain
So that there may be room for more.
