Forever seems like a long road
I have been traveling
Long enough to understand love is dangerous
Short enough to realize is hard to meet the right person
If you could feel what I feel
If you could see what I see
You will know I have been crying too
You will realize I have been hurt before too
You will understand I have been disappointed too
The touch of your hands
Gave me the strength that someone is there
The smile on your face
Gave me the assurance that someone understands
Mistakes and faults, I have made those before
Tears and pain, I have had it before
All these make me appreciate
The sense of belonging I have with you now
The possibilities of our dreams turning into reality
Into a life that is not only long and lasting
But forever with you
