Deep Inside My Mind

Deep Inside My Mind

Everything I keep up there, so deep inside my mind
if you could only take a peek, what would you hope to find
Would you find a darkened room with doors locked all around
or would you find an open space where echoes do rebound
Thru open eyes would hope to see, the sun come shining in
or pick the lock on one closed door, display my hidden sins
Maybe find the path that leads, my mind down to my fingers
where thoughts do flow like flakes of snow and words forever linger
Could those words, an hourglass, fall like grains of sand
never joined together .?..... ne'er make it to my hand.?
Secrets hidden deep within, not wanting to be found
a place where thoughts soon disappear, as they are written down
What is now behind my brow, for no one e'er to see
or wait in time, for some to rhyme, a poem may yet to be
To enter there you may find, no ceiling, walls or floors
no words lying all around, no thoughts nor one locked door
no profound quotes, or catchy phrase .....to be my claim to fame
thy greatest care for you to fear, My mind and yours the same.
