i ask
the lady poet
what are you
doing now?
whats your
ambition?
and
she says
i want to write.
i know ive got
great poems -
even immortal poems -
in me.
and what
are you
doing about it?
oh,
im reading
everything i can.
preparing myself.
getting
the instrument
ready.
and i say
yes,
but are you
writing?
no.
im not
ready for that yet.
im waiting
till the times right.
waiting
for the proper
inspiration.
do you
understand?
yes, maam,
im afraid
i do.
