Mistaken Doctors

Mistaken Doctors

The man was young,
And free as he could be.
They told him he still
Had much in life to see.
The odds are stacked against him
Fate has it this is the way it was meant to be.
They had no explanation
On how they could make such a mistake.
The information was more than he could take.
As he looks back on what
Life has given him,
A daughter with unconditional love,
Great intelligence and
A personality of the highest standards.
Though he was short on true friends
He had the greatest any man could ask for.
They stood by him through the toughest of times.
Never asking why but what they could do.
He never found true love
But once he was close.
She was a brilliant woman
As sharp as could be.
A wizard of computers and
And a master of photos.
This was his life yet
He has no regrets.
As he must push forward
He has fought it before.
He accepts what must come
Next with the pain and the fatigue.
The doctors tell him not a cyst after all
But malignant stage two, not one and now there was three.
