Citizen of Time (How I see myself)
A comet brightly shines, a trail thru the night
his moment of final glory, a sudden burst of light
He once had course and purpose, a map to all it seems
no one would dare deny him, a path to all his dreams
The void of space too shallow, to justify his fears
lost debris the only proof, that he was ever here
His path will cross with no one, his charts are just a myth
he has no fear of burning out, for absence gives to bliss
He soars out o'er the cosmos, no reason, word or rhyme
his purpose long forgotten.... this Citizen of Time

Bravo!!! This poem started out blazing and strong and carried through right to the very end. Indeed a keeper. Loved it!
