The Dream
Last night I dreamed a lovely dream of how my life should be
Of where I was, and where I am, and what I've yet to see
I walked up to a mountain top upon this world I gazed
a labyrinth of ins and outs, it seemed like one big maze
And then a voice it spoke to me ..no need for this confusion
for what you see is just to be but, one great big illusion
Come take my hand she whispered soft, you have no need for fear
for what I have in store for you, will soon be oh so clear
she lead me to this open field, of grass so lush and green
I knew not where but, followed her forever so it seemed
she looked at me with eyes so blue, said lay with me this night
She gave herself so willingly, surrendered with no fight
her resistance seemed was all but gone and mine was close behind
thru all this dream, was this the need, that I was meant to find
the night it ended much to soon, the light it burned my eyes
her hair lay soft across my chest, my hand upon her thigh
then she awoke and smiled at me, a sigh and then a kiss
this dream I'll always hold with me, of passion and of bliss
Now, I must leave she said to me, I wish this dream could last
our eyes upon the future ..... forget about the past
How do I ever leave this field, my dream, I dared to ask
She smiled and whispered oh so sweet .... your eyes upon the path
I thought once more about the maze I'd seen the night before
where I've been and what she had, this beauty showed in store
some may say the path to stay, lean not to left nor right
what I've learned, to take that turn , enjoy what's just in sight

Oh my god this took my breath away. Not only in the manner in which it is presented but the beauty that is within the words. You are talented, a breath taking and flowing write.
