about me.
in it
she says
we recently
went out for drinks
and talked about
the current state
of American literature.
no big deal, really
except
it never happened.
not one word
of it.
i dont know
why she wrote it.
im certainly
not that interesting.
my conversational skills
are non-existant.
i am not
a fascinating guy.
anyway,
if you happen to read her article,
whatll tip you off
that its made up
is the fact
that i couldnt care less
about the current state
of anyones literature
and wouldnt be caught dead
talking about it.
so, to you, maam
the next time
you feel the need
to write about
us
having an imaginary conversation
and imaginary drinks
remember this:
its
your turn
to buy.
