I've lost a friend of mine today
I may never know the reason why
But the one who gave me strength
Has upped and left with no goodbye
Although I know shes not really gone
But shes built this wall between us
And I ponder what went wrong
She says theres nothing to discuss
I miss the warmth her presence brought
I miss her laughter and her smile
And as I brush these tears away
I know therell be more for quite a while
I've lost a friend of mine today
I may never know the reason why
But the one who gave me strength
Has upped and left with no goodbye
