One Simple Word

Contributed by purefireglow on Wednesday, 6th February 2008 @ 09:03:31 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

looking into your eyes when i hear you say it
i feel embarassed and shy
my glance suddenly dropping and
inside i flood with warmth and strength
for that moment, your word becomes true
knowing you see me through vision not of my own

when i hear this word in daily passings i see a mirror
and a reflection which does not measure up
when you say it, it's not something with which to measure
but something that fills me
wraps around me and
radiates from within me

i close my eyes and hear your voice
speaking it for the first time
site unseeen for years
only words and emotion to guide you
only my vunerable heart exposed
and i believe you

that night in the darkness alone
in the moments it tumbles from your lips
never have i felt such warmth and peace
belief that i am desired wholly as when
i heard your wonderful and deep
honest and soothing voice say

you are beatiful

Awesome write. This is very heart felt and its an easy poem to relate to. When someone tells you such things as how beautiful you are or that they love you, sometimes the moment seems so perfect, and its something you could never forget..and it can be hard to explain to an outsider though. However you managed to let the reader know exactly the sensation you felt at that moment. VERY GOOD! keep writing
