Come a little closer, God
I'm down on bended knee
Surround me with your light
And listen to my plea
I speak to You at quiet times
I beg of You when I'm low
At times I feel abandoned
And that's a painful blow
Let me ask a question, Lord
What is it I have done?
Why do I feel forsaken
As I suffer with my son?
Haven't I been righteous, God?
Haven't I been true?
This is all within Your plan
Yet I know not what to do
Of all that I will ask You, Lord
Please listen as I pray
Guide the doctors hearts and hands
Let him see another day
