Joy fills my eyes,
makes them shine after
weeks of tears.
The corners of my mouth
begin to turn upward,
a miracle, I thought
the sullen frown would
never disappear.
Butterflies swarm in
tiny little circles
throughout my belly.
My mind takes on
a new state of being,
filled with comfort
and everlasting lust.
He's brought this overwhelming happiness
deep into my heart-
He'll probably never even know,
but his return has made my world
glitter with sunshine once more.
