It seemed like forever I had waited for you
Then you came along - so where've you been?
My heart went beyond angry and blue
'Cause you up and left me cryin'!
For so many reasons I loved you and wanted you to be mine
But I wound up in the end cryin' tears too many
When you'd leave me standin' in line
To that list of other women!
I used to say, "I love you," you'd just turn your back,
Then tell me all your lies.
I was so crazy for you - I got lost in my tracks,
Until I found the reason for the tears in my eyes!
I finally said, "That's it - we're through!"
The whole thing still left me cryin'
But I'm stronger now without you
And I'll never be that fool again!
