I haven't any friends,
No purpose in life,
Nobody to love,
Please take me up above.
I smile and laugh
But only as an act,
This pains me most of all
And i begin to fall.
I feel everything building,
My shoulders far from stead fast,
I fall heavier now
Leaving good feeling in the past.
I cannot be helped,
My burden is my own,
For I haven't any friends,
I am lost and all alone.
No love I hold for me,
I gave it all to thee,
How foolish can i be
To expect love and sympathy.
I love you for giving me hope,
And hate your broken promises,
I punish myself once more,
For falling for you whom i adore.
Adore I will no more,
Not for you neither me,
For I haven't any friends,
Nor a soul, not anymore.

This is a nice poem, simple word choice bringing a powerful message.
Being taken advantage of doesn't prove you have character flaws, it just proves your human. Try not to be so hard on yourself. We are usually our own worst critic. |
