Same Old Story

A kiss for sure Could settle thoughts Of unsettled dreams For another night.
Yielding supple lips, A restless tongue A piercing gaze And her gentle sigh.
Such simple things
Blinding eyes drip As a fragile heart swells. Dreams again go astray; Compounding this pain.
So close and full of promise, Yet again pushed away All that is perfect Can never seem to be had.
