The evening preyed on twilight
as I watched you from the shore;
a soul in throes of sheer delight,
although men would call you whore
you danced among the sand dunes
on lithe and slippered feet;
with music from the gypsy strings
weaving tunes as sweet
I felt the moons vibrations
as it crested distant hills;
succumbing to my hunger
always gives me nascent chills
drifting from your reverie,
enticed by gold and wine
I drew you tight into my web
and took you before time
a shame to give your life
to my addiction, I confess;
I drank your blood and killed the dance
but mourn you, none the less.

Oh wow, spikers!! This was deliciously dark! I don't know how I could
have missed it! You sneaky devil. I am not ashamed to say, I loved this. It
was entirely entertaining, poet. There is a temptation within the words
that moves and stirs the soul to know more ....
and leaves me wondering .... where did you find the inspiration for this? lol
