Sitting here lost in the mists of myself.
Reflecting on life and the purpose of being.
Night draws me inward, decays all positive thought.
I'm silenced by the overwhelming rotting stench of hope.
Dark should be a comfort, when monsters of day are sleeping.
But other demons lurk in shadows, come once more to haunt me.
Prisoner to their foul bidding, unable to run.
They feast on my fears and regurgitate my anxiety.
Black thoughts gather, like a cloud before rain.
Negative thoughts thunder in my mind.
Despair rides in, like a horseman of the apocalspe.
Slays the white white knight of calm, and hacks the limbs of reason.
Sleep will be a sancturary. A pause perhaps no more.
Tomorrow I'll plant new seeds in the garden of my soul.
Will they be beauty? Clarity of vision?
Or once more choke in the mists of myself.

Moving write, touched on many highs and lows.
Like the night it can be so peaceful but then the ghost are creeping in the shadows. Nicely done.
