my heart's a battleground
soaked with traitors' tears
burnt with dead anger
my heart's a battleground
where my inner wars left me broken
the fight is over, but the effects are lasting
my heart's a battleground
you and I once sat inside, nestled deep
then hell broke loose and the battle began
my heart's a battleground
torn up and beaten down
with blood, sweat, pain drenched in the soil
my heart's a battleground
split in two, neither giving in
fighting eachother for the right to be there
my heart's a battleground
I don't know what to do
the fire's burning brightly
my heart's a battleground
the flame of pain eating the remains
until there's nothing left but ash
