I am hurting our friendship
And I know I am hurting myself
As I try to run away from you
And I try hard to hide my feelings for you
Everything seems to be the same
Yet everything is different now
Knowing the outcome will break my heart
Still I gave my feelings away
I cried when reality sets in
You were there to wipe away the tears
And I thought there was hope
For me and for you and for us
Only to realize you wiped off the tears
So that I can see clearly
So that the tears wont cloud my mind
With fantasies and dreams of us
You held my hand to help, not to care
You wipe the tears to pity, not to love

this is a very well expressed sad write.. its better you find out now that this person doesn't have those love feelings for you.. but at least they care about you as a friend.. maybe it was that way all along and they were there to help you through it.. everything happens for a reason.. there is someone out there for you.. just give it time..
