The crisp morning dew sits atop the green slades of grass
The weeds are abundant and growing over my ground cover
Each time I write I feel empowered
Words race through my mind
Poetry fills my heart and my fingers
Burdens of the past are lifted
The bright future and God's whisper ring through my body and soul
Reminding me I have the gift of joy
The path I walk today puts a spring in each step
No matter how little or big
These steps will be the presence of unconditional love that follows me
