My love for you was total and complete, unconditional
You were all I prayed for, you were the essence of perfect love
I gave you my life wanting to make your life complete
The promises and vows we made I would never have forsaken
Then not in years or months or weeks you destroyed me
In hours you took my soul and shredded it before my eyes
You took my heart and crushed it into nothing as you laughed
You destroyed my past and obliterated my future in an instant
I loved you, I hate you, you destroyed me so completely
I trusted you, I adored you, yet you so willingly betrayed me
You laughed at me when I told you what I knew, inside I cried
Betrayal and humiliation still burn fiercely deep within me
Yes I was a fool, I still am a fool for your betrayal is still inside me
In years to come I will be wiser for the lesson you taught me
I hope I can forgive you then, but as yet I still feel that pain
My trust destroyed, I am nothing, a husk without a heart or soul
True, I live for I am breathing, I am filled with burning tears
They flow so freely every time I hear or think of your name
There is no life for me except to live a death among the living
For the greatest shame I must endure is that I was betrayed by you
