I'll hold on to this ticket for you. "I'll be waiting for you untill you get back" He's got ahold of the ticket in his hand. They're walking along the dock together looking into the sky "There's more to me then this town" "But there's nothing more to me then you" His hands have turned white her head drops.
He's had an eternty to tell her how he felt. But forever is never enough. Clear skys and cold breeze But summer has past and she has to move on. She's had big plans that all involved him. He was just to blind to see Too deaf to hear And to stubborn to explain.
Christmas Approaches as the leaves fall off the trees. The boat is on it's way to split them up. "I'll always think of you everyday". His words are falling on unsympathetic ears. Happy hours turned into amazing days but the months are not coming to help. She's made her choice and she'll die by it. But whatever happened to you'll always remember your first love.
Sitting on the edge of the dock. Legs hanging over the clear waters. Who'd think they'd find paradise in the most unexpected place. Boat arrives. She's about to break but the boat needs her on it. "I'll ring you when i get home and tell you how my trip went". No words come out of his mouth, his eyes say it all.
The boat sails away as he stands in his place devastated. "You know i'll always think of you" As he watches the boat sail away.
One month later and a million miles away She realises the mistake she's made. Dash to the phone and a fumble to call. "Hello?" One hour later and the worse has come to light. He's moved on and grown to big for his little town. She hangs up understanding she's just lost her chance with love.
On the other side of the world and he's hunting for her. Constantly searching to find her and tell her how he felt. Unknownly she's doing the same. Constantly moving each day. Just to find the boy who made who love.
"I'll think you everyday" the two wisper in sync . A million miles away

Hi, you made a post asking for us lot to read and give advice right? So, I'm not a *****, just telling you what I've learnt; Spellcheck is the poet's friend!!! I write all of mine in word and copy/paste them... just because I know that there's more than me that are anally retentive about it :D The reader doesn't need to be told everything, that's the difference between poetry and story-telling; not that the two can't cross over, but you don't need to write for them, write it for you; to hell with semantics... poetry is opening your heart and letting people you have never even met look at it and judge you, don't be afraid of it; I really like the idea behind this piece, and there are some lovely parts, you just seem to be holding back a little... let go... and welcome!
