Today as I close my eyes
and the darkness folds me in
I totally surrender to all
and drift away
No more cares in this place and time
no more responsibilities
no more tears and people to hurt
no more possibilities
but my heart keeps on crying
to you, the one I love
please hold me and pull me back
out of this space where I can no longer breath..
as I close my eyes
and I swallow
all that will take me away
I reach out just one more time
but this time you werent there
and slowly I drift away.

| very sad write. theres just something about those last two lines that realy stand out..i don't know why....it just brings out that wonder...makes you wonder how many people are hanging onto one person, or one thing...powerfull write. |
