Its time to sit down and write a song.
One to play sometime,
And maybe itll make me famous.
Ill travel the world,
Everyone will know my name,
Bono will kiss my feet.
Ill go to Africa to show you that I care,
And the news will tell you
Im doing something to help the world.
But Ill sit in my limo
And sip on expensive wine
In my built in Jacuzzi.
Youll hear me tell you about the world,
And everyone will believe me,
Because Im a big _____ star.
But this song wont get played,
Not by radio, not by me.
The notes so sweet and solitary.
No guitar, no band, no admirers.
Or maybe Ill get a band,
And well go on a long tour
In a beer-soaked school bus.
Well hit up every townie-bar
Across the U S of A
And play to 30 kids with nothing better to do.
Then the crowds will start growing,
And the kids will listen to our words,
Well have an impact we cant believe.
Then well talk to Island,
And just say no thanks
Because were better than that.
The kids will love us more,
And well keep up the same
Damn routine month after month.

| Rock and ______ Roll! I think you did a very good job of capturing the spirit of your every day rock band. Not the famous ones mind you. The ones that play for beer and tacos. Well done! |
