Never Say Goodbye

Contributed by Ruby2sdy on Sunday, 13th April 2008 @ 11:41:01 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Tonight, I remember love,
Watching the shadows dance like Christmas,
Your eyes light up,
And no one ever told me.
How beautiful.
That with pain and beauty, anger lies sleeping,
Deep within the very heart of me.
Could you take my pains?
Carry my burdens in place of your own;
And I will take yours.
Your heart beating in the place of mine.
Warmth and passion.
Compassion.
With another sip of wine, my fear escapes,
Watches me from the corner of the room,
Judges me,
Controls me.
Nothing to fear.
But everything to be afraid of.
Tomorrow, maybe without you.
How can I face that?
Without tears, and heartache.
You understand,
Because youre the first Ive ever met,
To feel the same.
When we two shall part,
The earth will be dead to me,
Life will be dead to me,
Because you are life,
And truth, hope and love.
So tonight, I remember you, as you stand beside me.
Hopefully,
Not for the last time.
Goodnight, the only man to ever love me.
Never say goodbye.

Such devotion...You convey a strong emotion here.
I am a little afraid of the "When" we two shall part. Its too much like a premintion...perhaps "If ever"?
Strong write!!
