I could tell from the pain around my heart
The two of you were together on New Year's Eve
I tried hard to hold everything back
But when the ball came down, you'd never believe.
I went silent on Jase whom was on the phone
Felt so guilty for not saying a word
But all I could picture was you and her
And three words you whispered was all I heard.
I've tried for a long time to get over you
Two holidays stuck together has made it hard
I thought the tears were gone but last night proved me wrong
Time has done nothing to bandage this heart so scarred.
I've tried moving on and loving others
I've tried pretending everything was okay whenever we'd talk
I even burned a picture of you and I to destroy the memory
But still it all came back when the Holiday came at 12 o'clock.
