I Love

I Love

I love, that when deep in explanation,
you notice not how I look at you.
Its not so much that I am lost in the words,
as I am in your expressions.
And I could do that all day.

I love, how the corners of your mouth turn up when you smile.
And that your eyes seem to twinkle,
when you stress an understanding.
All the while as they dance without rhythm,
to the flow of your conversation.

I love, the subtle and unintended body language exuded,
when you are in close proximity to me.
And I struggle to restrain an overwhelming desire,
to quickly gather you into my arms.
And to press you tight against me.

I love, your independence and your strength.
For you have accomplished more than you could imagine.
And have endured more than others could imagine.
The fact that youve been blessed with those special listening ears,
for others that are in need of an ear to listen.

I love, that you are not without compassion,
even when chastising one that has done wrong.
How you are quick to vindicate a friend.
And that you fear not vulnerability,
when it is yourself who is sometimes vulnerable.

I love, that you have accepted me as I am.
For God knows Im no walk in the park.
But its in your arms that I could sleep forever.
Had forever, been at all possible.
This is how I feel about you.

I love, the perfumed scent of your body,
and the smoothness of your skin.
The tender soft kiss of your lips.
And I pity others never to know, a love such as this.
I love, loving you.
