To the one I love:
I wrote you a letter, to make you feel better, about your recent plight,
I licked the envelope, filled it with a little hope, and sealed it tight,
I stuck it in a basket, which sat next to your jacket, and wished for you to read,
Youd never come back, youre on a one way track, and realitys taken the lead,
So:
I smiled to the sky, jumped up to fly and fell straight back down,
I wanted to be with you, but my life still holds true, and Im still here on the ground,
So when you fly over me, look down to see, and remember that Im here,
And remember how together we'd lay, from night until day, and reflect on a life that was dear.
