You hurt those who love you And you love those who hurt you. Its so pathetic, yet so true. I love the guy who is killing me And, that, the guy who loves me doesnt see. I love that one guy, The one who is such a lie.
Ive always wanted a guy who would love me for me, And when he finally comes along, I dont see. I like the guys who hurt me, I realize, That one with the blue eyes. Ive done so many wrong things, And this is my way of punishing myself.
The guy I love doesnt love me back, And the guy who loves me I may as well attack. Ive hurt him so much, And all he wants is to feel my touch. Yet the guy I love couldnt give a damn about me. Hes made me so empty. But thats who I want, The one who makes me feel so daunt. When I think back to how much this guy has hurt me, Thats when I see How much I am hurting the other one, The one who doesnt just want me for some fun, The one who truly loves me. I wonder what the h*** is wrong with me.

One thing that a person on the outside finds so difficult to see is why a woman would stay with a guy that abuses her. The first time a guy hit (mentally and/or physically) me, I would so be out of there. I'm sorry for your situation. My suggestion would be for you to get out of the bad relationship, get some help, and explain to the one who loves you that you want to help yourself get better so you don't (or further) hurt him. Good luck, hon! This poem is very well written. Very powerful. ~Sara |
