Lucid

Contributed by zenith66 on Wednesday, 23rd April 2008 @ 12:31:05 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

In dreams my feet are wet with sand,
By salty pools of earth and stone,
I contemplate the souring height,
Of summits cupped within my hand,

Their bodies coated dreary greys,
Soaking wraps of writhing mist,
Makes quieter lonely amplitudes,
And shortens days,

Further still the bleak nadir,
Fusing lands and gelid sky,
Its shady copses full of fear
And so am I,

This place is groing smaller now,
As lands have nowhere else to go,
The outermost eternities,
Begin to show,

And sky has lost its dreamy hue,
A doldrums silence grips the sea,
The Sun devoured by the moon,
Infallibly,

Slatey shelves are rising now,
Im standing tween tectonic walls
Their mammoth peaks reduce the sea,
To waterfalls,

The waking world diffuses in,
Its groggy hold begins to take,
I vaguely watch whats happening,
Until I wake

Holy heck! ZENITH! What a dream sequence!!!

Damn fine writing, friend! OMG .. I SO loved this line ..

"The Sun devoured by the moon"

what a vision!! The whole piece is just so damn packed with visual stimulation.
Your descriptions are always so flawless; a cut above the rest. Thoroughly
enjoyable. I am never disappointed when visiting your page. (You should
consider submitting a few of these to some literary agencies ... )

DAMN! I suspect there is much more to come from you. And we'll
be knocked off our feet when that happens. Bravo poet! BRAVO!
