No, I'm not ok.
Because I know you're not alright.
You haven't been for a while,
And things seem worse tonight.
Tonight you just seem so far gone,
And I don't feel I'll get you back.
Which makes my heart feel as if
It were under constant attack.
You used to be my hero.
I wish I could be yours now.
I've tried all I can think of.
But I'm afraid I just don't know how.
And now you look at me,
I can see that question in your eyes.
"Are you ok?" they say.
And my response: all lies.
I put on a happy face
Because that's what you needed
But inside all I could do was cry
And my heart, it just pleaded.
What did you want me to do?
Just go on with my day?
Here's my honest answer babe,
No--I'm not ok.
