Maybe it was never meant to be
This you and me
What did I ever see in you?
That you said you saw in me too
Is it ok to feel alone?
Though we are both here, at home
Dont you think weve gone too far?
Were already so far apart
And now it seems like its the end
I know after this we wont stay friends
But would you think of me someday
And wonder if it wouldve turned out ok
And when I start to look back now
At when we always joked about
I turn around to look at you
And see youre not the boy who I once knew
I wish we couldve turned this thing around
Then maybe we couldve slept so sweet and sound
And always cherished what weve found
Instead of just looking back now

Such a sad write of how people change, but at times so so true. Many times it is for the best. Enjoyed the write.
