sickened

Contributed by shelby on Monday, 28th April 2008 @ 03:48:15 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I sit with the darkness wrapped around me.
A darker lump laying near my heart.
Wishing that none of this happened
Wanting to erase it all away from you.

My heart aches at the very thought of it.
I am sickened to the depths of my very soul.
I feel a scream pursing through me
that no universe would ever conceal.

You were tainted by such evil.
Where were those who were supposed to protect you?
I curse them beneath my breath right now
pleading for release from this hate I now feel.

My thoughts drifting back to the fall
when I saw you after many years.
Your arms wrapped tight around my shoulders
a hug that you did not want to let go of.

Why didn't you tell me right then ?
Why were all our years taken away?
Why couldn't I protect you somehow?
Why did this come down this way?

I do not know what to do.
Call to the winds to take it away.
It can not be undone no matter what I wish for
but believe me when I say if I could remove it all I would.

Heavy. I don't know who you are speaking of, but I'm sure you know it isn't your cross to bear. I suspect your method of release is sharing your thoughts and despairs with like minded individuals. Very nice. I am a fan!

It is sad that pain must be the growth drug of life and yet alas it is.
So many would gladly shield others to spare them such pain.
Well put my friend your words are comfort for many who wish the pain of loved ones to be over.

It is sad yet beautiful. Creative people can't often cry and hence pain has to released in a beautiful medium such as this..

lovely

love and peace
