In the darkness hear my cry
Calling out, I want to fly
Save me from the nighttime hell
Keep my secrets, never tell
Is that you lost in the past
Anchored down and holding fast?
Do you miss the sunshine rays
And frolicing through those happy days?
If we're both stuck here in the dark
Let's be together and leave our mark
For if two lost souls can find their way
Light could too, whose to say
So let's be friends, you and I
And together kiss the dark goodbye
Smile deep and laugh real loud
And when they ask us say so proud
"We came together in the end
This is my best and truest friend"

| This poem put a big wide smile on my face! One of my favorite topics to read on is the struggle to find love and happiness, and it's comforting to know that there are others out there who want true love as desperately as I do. To be in love is to feel complete. Great write. Keep it up! |
