My Friend, Joanne
Was it in 2002, or perhaps it was 03?
This memory seems, to have failed me
For if you were to ask me then
I really dont recall quite when
But this poem here, is all for you
Remember, you had asked me too
I told you then, it could not be
That this would have to come to me
Well now it has been quite awhile
Much later by a thousand smiles
But on this day, thoughts of you my friend
Made me run quick, to get my pen
I grab some paper and start to write
Before these words in mind take flight
For if theyre not put quickly there
Theyd vanish, into the thin air
Joanne, today I say to you
These words heartfelt, and are so true
Our lives, would have been lesser then
If we had not, have touched as friends

This is a nice write for a friend who has touched your life in a positive way. Everyone deserves a friend like this.
