Invisible Tears

Invisible Tears

Invisible tears is what she cries
As another part of her inside dies
One of those she was supposed to trust
Swore this secret was to be kept and never discussed

He stole her innocence with each and every touch
Into adulthood and beyond he threw her in a rush
As the invisible tears continued to flow
Further away from the outside world she continued to go

How can she be convinced she is not to blame?
How can we help her not to feel shame?
How can we let the child understand unconditional love?
The kind that comes from the Almighty One above?

If I had my way I would punish him alone
I would gladly be the one to throw each and every stone
There is nothing that I can imagine to be too severe
For taking the innocence from a child so precious and so dear

Think twice you people who choose to do them wrong
When you get caught, not a single soul will sing you a praise song
For forcing the children to live under your spells and your lie
I would gladly pull the switch and watch as you die

A stunning piece of art about a subject close to my heart (sorry was not suppose to rhyme!). I share your anger and frustration. Excellent work as always.
