The Broken Mirror..

Contributed by hannah_heaven on Sunday, 11th May 2008 @ 08:43:50 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

how do i know
what to feel
what to need
what to want
if my heart
has stopped caring
and my veins
now run black
i opened up my heart to him
and slowly he flowed through my veins
but now im consumed by him
there's only a fraction left
of what i use to be
a splinter in my heart
of the memory of 'me'

how can i tell
what to think
what to do
what to know
when my mind
is disabled
by torment
my body is a skin
and like a snake
he's shredding
every last bit of me

i cant breathe
without the pain
in every nerve ending

i look in the mirror
im broken
i see my reflection
im shatterd
and so suddenly
the last flicker of my existance
burns out
like a candle
in the dead of night..

Nice write....I like the imagery of the broken mirror and the line 'a splinter in my heart
of the memory of 'me''....Good work....
