Finding my heart empty
The dampness on my cheeks
I realized I am really hurt
Hiding my bruised self from you
I put up a smiling face
I put up a brave front
Repeatedly I tell myself
You treat me no more than friends
We can be nothing more than friends
All these I know and I understand
But my heart still holds a soft spot for you
How I want to rip open this heart
So that I can stop feeling at all
Because each time it hurts
When you are smiling for someone
Because each time it is painful
Knowing someone special is in your thoughts
Time will be the best medicine to heal
And to finally understand
To love sometimes also means to let go

OH my funny face friend does not have the smile on.
This is so sad sweety..... A beautiful write but so forlorn. The ending is so true but at times it is the letting go that is the most difficult.
A tissue to dry your eyes and a huge hug.
