Well maybe I'll die alone
Yes I know I know the truth
But here on the dirt and grass
Will I be alone?
Alone in thoughts and opinions
A helpless feel I receive from the air here
Can I reach out and be met?
The air and the scenes surrounding me
It all seems harmless enough
But they at least are connected
In every way possible
But I...
A human is sad when alone
I'm not asking for an ear this time
Not an ear or a voice
But the presence of another
Another one whose thoughts
Match mine in every way
Good night Moon and Sun
Good night to all the Earth
The presence I seek
Could never be given to me by these folks
So I'll sleep knowing nothing can be done.
