I wish I could explain to you
how much I regret what I do
That when I said yes to us
I didn't want to lose your trust
You are too good to me
and I want you to be able to see
that what you deserve is so much more
and I'm not the girl you're looking for
I hold your hand and kiss you back
only to realize what I lack..
the power to forget what I left behind
and with you i don't have what i need to find
You're too good a person to be hurt this way
and it is wrong to wait in pity and stay
I hold you tight and kiss you one last time
but only to realize you were never mine

So much pain in this write. It is full of emotion and that is one thing I so love about poetry.
