"Don't Let Go"
There's a girl who's looking to the stars And she's wondering if Heavens very far Like a little child she's asking "why?" She watched him walk out the front door But then she never got to say goodbye
I'm here for you girl Give me you hand and I'll help you cry I'm here for you girl Give me your hand and I'll help you hold on I'm gonna help you thru hell
She's lying in bed and she's broken now She's done her best to keep everyone out She says that she doesn't know what to do So she takes the bottle in her hand And says "Daddy, I'm coming to be with you"
But I'm here for you girl Give me your hand and I'll help you cry I'm here for you girl Give me you hand and I'll help you hold on I'm gonna help you thru hell
Listen close, listen to the wind blow Don't keep this all locked inside Just keep trying to stay alive Don't let go of what you know If God came down and offered me a trade To bring your daddy back from the grave I promise you I'd take his place 'Cause I don't want these tears on your face
So please, keep breathing
