Self-Struggle

Contributed by alibof10 on Saturday, 31st May 2008 @ 11:27:58 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Losing track of time
Thoughts lost in space
Admiring her picture in my mind
Adoring that intriguing face

Trying to abide by the rules
But rules are made to be broken
Why does the right feel so wrong?
Why am I sure I'm not mistaken?

Defeat was never one of my traits
Is giving up gonna be my fate?
Its hard to concentrate when your minds stray
Should I keep trying or just walk away?

Nice - "Defeat was never one of my traits" - I like that line.

I think the giving up has been done. You tired of kicking against the goads and here we are. It/'/s a shame really. Tell me my friend ... shall I arrange a funeral for my muse or just let the winds blow rose petals away from my feet and watch as they fade and crumble to dust while waiting to be forgotten? (that is something that can never happen. Each rose is sprayed with a fixative and kept in a silver lock-box. Beside the roses are smiles and sighs ... I miss you so much ... so very much. I fear without your inspiring words the will to write may finally die.
