Nothings ever easy
You beat your head against a silent wall.
You try to make a sound, but the noise has gone
So, you sink deeper and try to present yourself
to the world as YOU, as someone who is surviving.
Theres a vertical tunnel and youre climbing up the wall.
Your fingernails are tearing and with each step you fall.
You need to keep life stable for the innocent of eye.
They look to you for guidence to always answer why?
And all the time the weight gathers on your head,
crushing the bones in your neck and pushing your toward death.
Uphill, downhill, underground. Kicking, fighting, choking, biting
Until the earth becomes your home and lets you sleep

No words exist to express how profoundly this poem touched me...
all I got is, DAMN! that was emotional and recognizable.
so hopeless ..and yet we seem to endure, no?
