Burning Whispers

Topic: dedicatedpoems

Why do I feel so alone,
Buried in everything all around me,
Trying to hear your words spoken,
The passions lost,
All my love is gone,
Burning whispers force me away,
These ghosts hidden come out to play,
The children are crying,
Looking for loves lost hope,
Yet you still throw stones,
Still throw stones.
I hang my head today,
Give up inside the storm,
Turn your faces all away,
Why can't you see,
How this pain is eating at me,
Locked up inside,
So scared that I finally cried,
Burning whispers remind me of the days,
Days of running away,
Of embracing the pain,
I look at the cross,
Kneel down and begin to pray,
Give you the gun,
Blow me away,
Away from the lies,
Away from the pain,
A key to who we are,
A key to fly away,
Burning whispers remind me of your face,
The children are crying,
Looking for loves lost hope,
Yet you still throw stones,
Still throw stones,
As I watch it all drift away.

I really like this write. Was hoping that the sequel would mean a resolved issue. In any case, you express your emotions so well. So much talent.
Take care,
Kara
